Trauma
We specialize in the treatment of trauma and stress related disorders. Some of these disorders include: post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), adjustment disorders, reactive attachment disorder, disinhibited social engagement disorder, and acute distress disorder.
We commonly work with individuals who perceive, directly experience, or witness events such as death, serious injury or sexual violence. We work to alleviate symptoms of recurrent, involuntary and intrusive memories or dreams, as well as dissociate reactions (flashbacks). Our therapeutic methods are designed to reduce symptoms of prolonged psychological distress and avoidance of stimuli associated with traumatic events. Negative alterations in cognition or mood, or exaggerated negative beliefs or expectations of oneself, others or the world, are symptoms we are expertly trained to manage
Depression
We regularly work with individuals who experience a depressed mood most of the day, and have a diminished interest or pleasure in all, or almost all, activities that they would otherwise enjoy. Maintaining good physical health, such as a healthy weight and regular sleep patterns, is an important part of our treatment planning. Developing emotional regulation skills for managing feelings of worthlessness, excessive or inappropriate guilt, and helplessness, will help alleviate depressive thoughts. With care and sensitivity, we effectively treat symptoms of recurrent thoughts of death and suicidal ideation.
We specialize in the treatment of depressive disorders. Some of these disorders include: major depressive disorder, persistent depressive disorder, disruptive mood dysregulation disorder, and premenstrual dysphoric disorder.
Personality Disorders
We commonly work with individuals who struggle with an enduring, pervasive and inflexible pattern of inner experience and behavior that deviates from the expectations of an individual’s culture. Whether symptoms appear odd or eccentric, emotional or erratic, or anxious or fearful, we work to help individuals improve their patterns of behavior and find peace in their everyday lives. With our psychoanalytic training, an individual’s personality organization can be reorganized in ways that allow individuals to grow.
We specialize in the treatment of personality disorders. Some of these disorders include: paranoid, schizoid, schizotypal, antisocial, borderline, histrionic, narcissistic, avoidant, dependent, obsessive, and general personality disorder.

We regularly work with individuals and their fear response to real or perceived imminent threats, as well as their anxious anticipation of future threats. We teach techniques that allow individuals to manage various physical symptoms such as restlessness or hypervigilance, muscle tension, and sleep disturbance. Obsessions- the recurrent and persistent thoughts, urges, or images that are experienced as intrusive- is treatable with our clinical methods. Compulsions - the repetitive behaviors or mental acts that individuals feel driven to perform - can subside with our support. Generally, we help individuals feel in control and calm in the present moment.
Relationship Issues
We commonly work with individuals who struggle interpersonally with self esteem, assertiveness, anger management, and boundary setting. To help individuals find productive ways of relating to and connecting with others, we teach problem solving and communication skills while identifying negative patterns of behavior that can be transformed into constructive ones. Further, we share our knowledge around personality differences, temperament styles and love languages that allow individuals to grow in their understanding of individual differences and form closer emotional bonds.

Impaired self control, or difficulty abstaining from the addiction despite the difficulty it causes, and failure to fulfill major role obligations at work, school or home need not occur given our corrective measures that rewire the brain. We work to help individuals take back control over their addiction, find ways to gradually reduce their substance use, and get back on track to living a life in accordance with their values.
